Yes. The current crew tools shown here are free to use, including roster tools, allowance estimates, FX, crew connections, events and contact reminders. Optional allowance advances are being prepared for launch and aren’t currently available. Register your interest on this site.
AwayPay is currently available only to Qantas long-haul pilots. If you’re a Qantas short-haul pilot or cabin crew member, register your interest to help us decide where to expand next. Long-haul pilots can register using their Qantas email address and staff number. The iPhone app is in beta through TestFlight. If you don’t have an invitation, contact AwayPay for beta access. Public App Store and Google Play links are coming soon.
Save both fields. The top section sends a roster now; the lower section sets the address for future roster updates from Qantas.
Save the AwayPay roster email in Send My Roster Updates in WebCIS. If a change hasn’t appeared in AwayPay, use the upper Send My Roster section to send a fresh copy for that bid period. Saving the two email fields is a separate step.
First verify your email using the code sent to your Qantas inbox. We then match your staff number and email to the crew directory. Clear matches can link automatically; ambiguous matches need a manual check. Verifying your email and linking your staff record are separate steps.
Check that you sent the correct bid period to rosters@awaypay.com.au, then give it time to process. You can send a fresh copy from WebCIS. If it still doesn’t appear or AwayPay reports a roster problem, contact us with the bid period and approximate time you sent it.
In Events, open your interests and follow artists, teams, comedians or genres you like. AwayPay searches around your rostered slips and notifies you about new matches. Your interests stay saved for future trips, so there’s no need to start again. You’re choosing interests rather than manually creating calendar events. Select an upcoming slip to explore it; event details and tickets open with the event provider.
Check that you’ve selected interests and that your roster includes the slip. Results depend on matching events being available for that place and time. An empty list can simply mean there’s no matching event yet.
You choose who to share your roster with through My Crew and can stop sharing at any time. Saving a crew member as a favourite doesn’t share your roster. Who’s in port shows relevant crew overlaps; sharing your full roster is a separate choice.
They’re estimates based on the roster and applicable allowance rates. Actual flying and payroll reconciliation can change the final amount. Currency conversions are reference estimates, rather than a guaranteed exchange rate.
AwayPay uses your roster and saved contact option to identify supported contact windows. Allow notifications on your phone and check your preferences in Settings. On compatible iPhones, a Live Activity can show the window and countdown on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. These reminders support your own checks of roster and contact obligations.
We’re preparing earlier access to your allowances when you land. The payment infrastructure is in place, and we’re working towards the arrangements needed to launch. Planned payout options are local currency into a Revolut account, or AUD directly into your Australian bank account. You won’t need Revolut for an AUD payout. Availability, fees and final terms will be confirmed before launch. Register interest without any commitment.
Our current crew tools are free. We plan to earn revenue from optional allowance services when they launch, and from relevant partnerships. For example, AwayPay may receive a commission if you sign up through our Revolut affiliate link. Using that offer is optional.
